How We Started

I was around 12 years old when my grandmother retired from her desk job.  In her retirement, she wanted something to do to keep busy, so she started making soap.  As a kid, around this time especially, I spent much of my time with her, so naturally, I started making soap with her.  We started small and easy with melt and pour soaps, and eventually started making other products like lip balms and lotions.  From time to time we would take everything to craft shows and sell our products. We had a lot of fun together making soaps and going to events.

Since her passing and becoming a mother, I have been inspired to recreate our soaping business but a little differently.

As a mom, I have learned the importance of natural products and the benefits they give.  Most skin and soap products found today are made with chemical additives, detergents, and artificial colors and fragrances which can be harsh on skin.  Because of this, I wanted to go back to basics with lye soap, essential oils, and colors that come from plants and clays to make a natural and chemical free product.  Using the hot process method, I am creating natural and chemical free products just like people have been doing for centuries.
